Cancer

I called my mom today on my way home from my routine appointment with the midwife. I just wanted to reassure her that everything is great. Also, I wanted to ask how my dad is doing because we got an email last night that he's in the hospital with pneumonia. My mom said that the pneumonia is getting better because he was on five liters of oxygen yesterday morning, and by last night, he was on plain room air. That's a good sign. However, the bad news is that the cancer in his abdomen is back, and it's never going away. His 3-6 months he was given is now for sure. Because of my pregnancy, I can't hop on a plane and go see him. I'm truly grateful for my time in September. Soon, I hope to write a tribute to my dad.

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. At least you were able to spend good time with him.
