And the Winner Is. . .

A while back, I started a photo and essay contest for a beautiful quilt. I gave myself two votes, and then I used the poll as well. The winner of the blog contest is Katie from Eberling Adventures. Thanks to everyone who voted or read the essays. Katie, I'll get in touch with you personally to find out what you want to do! Thanks all.

I just read the other essay, and it was beautiful. Funny how we both wrote about the bond between parent and child. I loved hers and think she should have won. Had I been more on the ball, I would have voted for her:)I loved the beautiful images it gave. I think that while I don't personally have a relationship with nursing I can connect with that feeling of bonding. I think that is something all parents can relate to on some level; knowing that you can provide that special thing that no one else can, be it nursing like the story, or just a true sence of security, or comfort, whatever, there is a special thing that happens between parent and child, and she captured that. It was beautiful.

It was a beautiful story, and the bond between parent and child is definately special. The thing I loved about both of them is that the parent/child thing was that the love just poured out of both stories. I will make you a twin sized cover when I find some cute fabric that matches your room. Even better, right?
